I was once pretty good on a skateboard but the only sales I ever did was a door to door job when I was fifteen, selling plastic platypus soap dispensers. I lasted about one hour and then a kindly old lady took pity and invited me in for black current cordial. Someone stole my skateboard and I failed miserably at that sales job which all set me up for a life in the arts. After a stint in art school and then in the dance world, I now write books.
